Economist: Electric vehicles to equal price of conventional ones by 2025

Ellen Hughes-Cromwick, senior economist at the University of Michigan Energy Institute, told Yale Climate Connections (YCC) that in three to five years electric cars will likely cost the same as comparable gas-powered ones. Predictions like Hughes-Cromwick’s and Amazon ordering 100,000 electric vans indicate that reaching our goal of 100% reliance on renewable sources of electricity by 2030 and for all other energy needs, including heating and transportation, by 2050 is very doable.
