Greta Thunberg, Climate Crisis and Covid-19 Pandemic

A New Yorker article/book review/analysis entitled How Greta Thunberg Transformed Existential Dread Into a Movement by Emily Witt delves into Thunberg’s eccentric family  with its unique dynamics.  It also serves as another warning of what is to come if we keep ignoring the warnings of the climate change crisis as we ignored the pandemic warnings that preceded Covid-19.

Greta Thunberg

Here is a quote from Thunberg’s speech at  the World Economic Forum in Davos:

“I’ve been warned that telling people to panic about the climate crisis is a very dangerous thing to do, but don’t worry. It’s fine. Trust me, I’ve done this before, and I can assure you it doesn’t lead to anything.”

Of course, we know that she brought elevated awareness of the issue at hand. Now it is up to the rest of us to turn that awareness into action.
